As we set out to greet a New Year
we remember all the events of the past year
We celebrate the dawn of the New Year
with laughter, joy and cheer
Old friends are with us to bring in the New Year
as the clock strikes midnight on the mantle
With glasses raised to make a toast
we join our voices to sing Auld Lang Syne
The New Year will bring new hope
that old friends will be with us for years to come
